In my career I have seen so many people give up just before they succeed. The last risk they need to take often feels like it is too much or too big and they give up. This causes so much sadness to be a bystander watching them in their game of life.
My dear friend and author Kelly Falardeau talks about the connection between taking the risks and reaping the reward. Her statement and title of her book is “No risk, no reward.” She beautifully describes the gifts in persisting through the risks to later enjoy the rewards.
The next time you are struggling and ready to give up and change direction, see if you can stretch just a little bit further. Remember this…."Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go."- T.S. Eliot
